Hey there, blog buddies!
I'm blogging at you from work today. I'm sitting up at the front desk chilling out. I just spent about an hour and a half shelving/reorganizing records. My hands are all callous-y. It's nice to have something to do at work instead of just sitting around.
Mallory and I got back to Johnson late last night. It would have been earlier except we were driving through South Royalton and Mal says "Hey, you wanta go visit Josh?" And I said "OK". So we called him and told him we were coming to his house. It was pretty much amazing. We had a great time. His little sister is adorable. We played Pass the Pigs and some video games, and then his mom made dinner for us. We were totally not expecting that, but she came over and asked us what we liked in our pasta and we were kinda caught off guard. I was thinking of taking video, but I had never met Josh's family, so I didn't wanta freak them out right off the bat. Now that I've met them I think they'd be cool with it if we ever go back. Which we should, cuz it was fun times.
Spring has finally sprung in Johnson. It's currently 66 degrees out and I am loving it! Unfortunately it's not going to be that warm for long. The rest of the week and into next is supposed to only be in the 40's and 50's. Granted, that's a hell of a lot better than 10's and 20's, but, when you take into consideration that it's also going to be rainy and possibly snowy, it's still gloomy. If it does snow, I don't expect it to stick around.
Sadly, I don't think I'm going to be able to get up to see Garrett's band perform in the Battle of the Bands at North Country. It all depends on what Mallory's plans are. I can't believe Urinetown is in two weeks. It's just unbelievable.
I worked out my tentative schedule for next semester. Depending on what day Brass Methods is held, I won't have any classes on Wednesday. It will be kinda weird to have a day off in the middle of the week, but I'll take it.
Tentative Schedule:
Child Development: Friday - 10:00-12:45.
Spanish III: Tuesday/Thursday - 11:30-12:45.
Spanish III Lab: Thursday - 2:30-3:30.
Concert Choir Vienna: Tues/Thurs - 5:30-7:00.
Pop Culture in America: Monday - 2:30-5:15.
Brass Methods: TBA.
Voice Lessons: TBD.
I'm excited to take Pop Culture, and it even meets a GECC requirement! Hopefully, Spanish III will fulfil the foreign language requirement. On the GECC tally sheet, it only mentions Spanish I and Spanish II, but I don't see why if I test into Spanish III it wouldn't count... I have to talk to the head of the department. I'm not really excited for brass methods, pretty much because I suck at playing instruments. That's why I'm a voice major... And I can't WAIT to go to Vienna. Next year is pretty much going to be amazing.
I'll be taking some video throughout the next few days. Some at Mal's apartment, some at work perhaps, definitely some outside today because it's beautiful. I'll edit it together at the end of the week for a nice vacation montage video. Now that I have the Flip, expect more video outside my room.
OK, I gotta wrap this up. It's amazing how long an entry can get when you're sitting at a desk with nothing else to do...
PS. Sorry I missed the VotW, I wasn't near a computer long enough on Sunday to track one down and post it. I'll try to get two for next weekend.
